Job Description:
As the Forward Deployed Engineer, you will work directly with SSIS departments to understand operational challenges, identify opportunities for technology improvement, and turn business requirements into practical AI and software solutions. You will take ownership of the solution lifecycle from business process analysis and solution design through development, integration, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement. Your work will focus on delivering reliable, secure, and user-focused technology solutions that improve operational efficiency across SSIS.

Our client is launching their Agentic Development practice in Singapore. This is a Day 1, market-creation hire. Most enterprise teams in Singapore are experimenting with AI coding assistants. Very few have made the jump to a true agentic lifecycle - where agents are orchestrated to own planning, implementation, testing, review and release as part of the engineering team.
We are hiring a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to be that bridge. You will be deployed inside enterprise engineering orgs, prove what's possible in 30 days, and then scale it org-wide.

Forward Deployed Engineers sit alongside prospective and existing customers — from the first exploratory meeting through to a live pilot — and are the technical reason a customer says yes.
The work spans two areas, and you will do both. Applied AI engineering: prototypes and custom demos, reference deployments and proofs-of-concept, GPU sizing and architecture, inference benchmarking and model fit. Business value engineering: TCO modelling and commercial structuring, tender and pre-sales support, CXO and strategic engagements, thought leadership and GTM.

The technology works — the gap is in the last mile: getting production systems running inside complex enterprises where legacy infrastructure, regulated data, and organizational complexity collide. AWS is making a billion-dollar investment in Forward Deployed Engineering to close that gap.
You are a product manager embedded inside an FDE delivery pod, owning the product lifecycle for customer engagements — from discovery through production delivery. You work directly inside enterprise customers: performing discovery, defining outcomes, writing specs, managing trade-offs, and working hand-in-hand with engineering to ship production systems under compressed timelines.
This is not a traditional AWS PM role. You are field-facing — you work with customers regularly and turn engagement learnings into platform improvements. You own the why and what for your engagements, while engineering owns the how.
Traveling 30-50% is required for this role.
Key job responsibilities
Customer Discovery and Scoping
• Partner with sales and senior PMs to perform customer discovery — mapping business goals, technical landscape, and problems worth solving
• Engage with Director-level and senior technical stakeholders at enterprise customers to understand how AI technology can address their business challenges
• Work with your engineering counterparts to define the minimum lovable product, write success criteria, and quantify expected business value
Product Ownership and Delivery
• Own customer outcomes for your engagements, operating inside customer environments with real constraints — regulated data, brownfield infrastructure, multi-stakeholder governance
• Follow AI DLC to iteratively define problems, write requirements, and deliver production code in weeks, not months
• Drive solutions from launch to adoption by capturing user feedback, iterating, and proving defined business value
• Make judgment calls about what simplifications are acceptable and when a product is ready to ship versus when it needs more iteration
Platform Feedback
• Identify what breaks or slows down across your deployments and surface those findings to senior PMs and engineering
• Contribute to the feedback loop between field delivery and the product/engineering roadmap
• Advocate for graduating custom pod work into reusable platform capabilities with supporting data
Industry Learning and Reuse
• Build domain expertise within your engagement vertical
• Contribute to industry-specific accelerators, reference architectures, and blueprints that make future engagements faster
• Document repeatable patterns from your work so solved problems become reusable assets
Go-to-Market Contribution
• Contribute to customer stories and reference architectures drawn from your engagements
• Provide field-level input on pricing, positioning, and what it takes to deliver outcomes to sales and marketing partners

As a Forward Deployed Engineers (Data and AI) you will work seamlessly over massive, complex enterprise data lakes, warehouses, and transactional systems in production, under real latency, throughput, and governance constraints. You will embed with the engineering and data architecture organizations of the largest customers to take Google's enterprise data and AI stack BigQuery, Dataproc, Dataflow, Dataform/dbt, Gemini for Data, and code execution sandboxes, from architectural whiteboard to high-throughput, production-grade workflows. You will identify what slows a 25,000-engineer enterprise down when deploying Text-to-SQL, automated evaluations, and data intelligence workflows, design the data systems that fix it, and own them end-to-end: discovery, pipeline engineering, semantic data modeling, evaluation harness setup, rollout, and long-tail reliability.

The work is the project. One week you might take a messy business workflow and put a production agent on it: pick the use case, stand up the architecture, wire it into the customer’s auth, data, and tools, then harden it with evals until the team actually uses it. Another week you might live in a customer’s repo and delivery system and ship an agent-powered path for a migration, a PR review loop, or an incident-to-fix flow, behind tests, review, and rollout rather than in a chat sidebar. Either way, you measure what matters, leave the customer able to operate it, and bring the pattern back as another use case for SpaceXAI.
This is not a demo role. You own the work end to end, from the first discovery call through launch, iteration, and post-launch support, and you are responsible for systems that work in the real world.
Lead discovery with the customer: orient in their codebases and workflows, find the real bottleneck and the use case worth building, and define clear success metrics
Design and ship production agents, AI applications, and coding-agent workflows on Grok and our models, on live business processes and inside the customer’s engineering org
Get a first version live in days, then harden it over weeks with rollout, monitoring, and iteration from real usage
Own production quality: tracing, evals, debugging model or delivery failures, and latency and cost tradeoffs
Build the systems around the model (tools, MCP servers, retrieval, rules, skills, CI gates, and evals) and integrate them into the customer’s auth, data, workflow, and delivery systems; decide when prompting, architecture, data, process, or a model change is the right lever
Measure the outcome that matters (revenue, cost, hours saved, error rate, cycle time, escaped defects), not seat adoption
Work directly with Staff+, platform, and domain leaders, going deep in their systems while communicating clearly about tradeoffs and results
Leave the customer team able to run what you built, and turn what you learn into reusable patterns and improvements to SpaceXAI products
Required
You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, machine learning engineering, or data science
You write and review production code (Python, JavaScript/TypeScript; other languages welcome)
You’ve owned a customer or operator outcome, not just a slide or a prototype, and can turn a fuzzy problem into a scoped, shipped system
You’ve built and owned AI-native workflows or agents in production, and debugged real production failures (model, tool, data, pipeline, or delivery path)
You’ve handled production reliability: metrics, alerts, safe rollouts, incident response
You build end to end: frontend, backend, infra, and prompt iteration
You thrive in ambiguity and don’t need a complete spec before you start building
You can talk to working engineers and to a VP
Nice to have
2+ years in a customer-facing role, leading discovery conversations and being accountable for outcomes for external stakeholders
Hands-on depth in several of: agents and tool-calling, eval harnesses, retrieval and context systems, CI/CD or developer platforms, and AI-native coding workflows in a real repo
Experience as a forward-deployed, solutions, or platform engineer embedded with customers, or as a founding engineer who owned an AI product end to end
We help global enterprise partners integrate Meta's foundation models and AI tools directly into their core products and infrastructure. We are hiring a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to independently lead complex technical integrations directly with top enterprise clients.
You will embed closely with external partner engineering teams to deploy, test, and optimize large-scale AI solutions. This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for ensuring smooth implementations across our platform.
You will tackle ambiguous deployment challenges head-on—like reducing latency, resolving interoperability issues, and building secure data connectors. You will then translate those technical hurdles into actionable feedback, working together with other engineering teams to iterate and refine the AI ecosystem. What You'll Do
Our BCG X teams own the full analytics value-chain end to end: framing new business challenges, designing innovative algorithms, implementing, and deploying scalable solutions, and enabling colleagues and clients to fully embrace AI. Our product offerings span from fully custom-builds to industry specific leading edge AI software solutions.
As Lead Forward Deployed AI Scientist, you'll be part of our rapidly growing team. You'll have the chance to apply data science methods and analytics to real-world business situations across a variety of industries to drive significant business impact. You'll have the chance to partner with clients in a variety of BCG regions and industries, and on key topics like climate change, enabling them to design, build, and deploy new and innovative solutions.
Additional responsibilities will include developing and delivering thought leadership in scientific communities and papers as well as leading conferences on behalf of BCG X. Successful candidates are intellectually curious builders who are biased toward action, scrappy, and communicative.
